According to a recent report from Manchester Evening News, Manchester United have taken it upon themselves to focus their attention on trying to sign Donny van de Beek as opposed to Kai Havertz. It’s been a rollercoaster ride for United in the last few months with rumours galore popping up here, there and everywhere in regards to their potential transfer activity this summer.
Whether or not the rumours wind up being true is a different matter, but it definitely feels like there’s some real momentum behind Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his squad right now.
In order to maintain that they’ll need to put in a string of top performances once the Premier League returns this week, but either way, van de Beek is an intriguing prospect for them.
Havertz has already been the subject of great interest from all across Europe, and while the same could be said for VDB, United are much more likely to land their man with the latter.
