Manchester United go after Rakitic

According to a recent report from Sport, Manchester United have officially made contact with Spanish giants Barcelona in order to discuss the possibility of signing Ivan Rakitic. The Croatian midfielder has been linked with a move away from the Nou Camp for months now, with many believing that he was going to make the jump to Inter Milan. As it turns out that deal didn’t wind up coming to fruition, and as a result, he’s back out on the market.

Raktiic is said to be happy at the Nou Camp, though, with the report indicating that it will take a significant offer in order to lure him away from the Spanish city.

Manchester United are hardly playing at the top of their game right now, but even with that being the case, it feels like the allure of playing for a club like that could be enough to seal the deal for Rakitic. Plus, we all know that they’re probably going to put forward a very handsome offer.
