According to a recent report from Corriere dello Sport, Manchester United now consider Cengiz Under to be a potential target ahead of the summer transfer window. The 22-year-old is viewed as a potential alternative to Jadon Sancho and Federico Chiesa with one of the key considerations, as always, being the price involved.
The Turkish international is set to be available for around £27 million, which is certainly less than the two players mentioned would cost.
United are set to have a big summer window regardless of when it takes place, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer being ready and willing to spend big in order to get the Red Devils closer to becoming one of the top clubs in English football once more.
While the ongoing pandemic may be an issue from a financial point of view, you’d have to imagine that United, out of any top club around Europe, will have the money necessary to thrive.
