Manchester United are in talks with the representatives of Bruno Fernandes over a new contract, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his team have started the Premier League season in a very good way, sitting top of the table with 10 points after four rounds along with Chelsea, Liverpool and Everton. With four goals to his name already, Fernandes has been a big part of it.
There is a general feeling at the club that they’re finally going in the right direction, and many see them as one of the main title contenders after the return of Cristiano Ronaldo. Fernandes obviously feels the same way and he wants to stay at Old Trafford for the foreseeable future, which is what United want as well. There shouldn’t be any issues in the talks, even though they have been going on since July.
There is no reason to hurry, with the contract currently binding the Portuguese attacking midfielder to the club still has almost four years left to run, but United have made signing him to a new deal one of their top priorities, along with Paul Pogba.
