Manchester United in fresh assault on Pedro

Spanish daily newspaper El Pais understands that Manchester United are stepping up their efforts to sign Pedro Rodriguez from Barcelona.

It is no secret that the Spain hotshot wants to leave Camp Nou in search of first team football and he is tempted by the prospect of joining the Red Devils.

And even though coach Luis Enrique would prefer the forward to stay at the club, Barcelona are likely to accept offers in the region of €25 million as they want to pay back the player for the loyalty he has shown so far.

However, the Catalans will not be selling Pedro before they contest the UEFA Super Cup against Sevilla on 11 August as the club aim to win as many titles as possible this term.

And with both Leo Messi and Neymar yet to resume training after being allowed extra time to rest, chances are that the wantaway forward will start the match in Tbilisi, where Barca are 3/10 to win in ninety minutes.
