The agent of Sao Paulo midfielder Lucas Rodrigues Moura da Silva has confirmed that Manchester United are one of the clubs interested in his client’s signature.
The 19-year-old midfielder is one of the most sought-after players in world football and he is widely tipped to leave his current club at the end of the season.
A move to Europe appears to be on the cards, with several high-profile clubs chasing the highly rated midfielder.
The player’s agent has now revealed that Inter, Chelsea and Manchester United have already shown interest in the Brazilian international.
“I have to say that Inter, Chelsea and Manchester United have already been in contact with me about him,” agent Wagner Ribeiro told Globo Esporte.
“He has the perfect profile to play in Europe – he’s a good player, very rapid and he knows how to shoot.
“However, a possible move doesn’t depend on me. You firstly have to speak with the club and then the player.”
Nevertheless, despite the heavy interest in his client, Wagner Ribeiro explains that Lucas could stay at Sao Paulo for another year.
“At the moment the player wants to stay at Sao Paulo and the club don’t want to sell him.”
The attacking midfielder has been in fine form this season, having scored 6 goals in 17 league games.
Moura has already broken into the national team and currently has 11 Brazil caps and one goal to his name.
