Manchester United are interested in signing Kyle Walker-Peters from Southampton in the January transfer window, according to talkSPORT. The report has claimed that the former Tottenham Hotspur right-back is pushing for a move away from St. Mary’s Stadium in the middle of the season and is stalling on signing a new contract.
Former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners United reportedly want Walker-Peters as a potential replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who is struggling for playing time under manager Erik ten Hag and could leave Old Trafford in January.
Walker-Peters has made 14 appearances in the Premier League for Southampton so far this season, scoring one goal in the process. The 25-year-old has also made one substitute appearance in the FA Cup and has played twice in the Carabao Cup for the Saints so far this campaign. Southampton are at the foot of the Premier League table at the moment with 12 points from 18 matches.
