Manchester United are interested in signing Pau Torres from Villarreal in the summer of 2023, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed with England international central defender Harry Maguire not having the best of times, the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners are looking for another centre-back and think that Torres fits the bill.
Torres has been on the books of Villarreal since 2002 and has established himself as one of the first names on the teamsheet. The 25-year-old is also a regular for the Spain national football team, and given his age, he can only improve and get better in the coming years.
So far this season, Torres has made six appearances in La Liga for Villarreal. During the 2021-22 campaign, the 25-year-old Spain international centre-back scored five goals and gave one assist in 33 La Liga matches. Torres also scored one goal in 12 UEFA Champions League games for the Yellow Submarine last season.
