Manchester United have entered the race to sign Federico Bernandeschi from Fiorentina, Gazzetta dello Sport have learned.
According to the Italian media outlet, Manchester United are readying a bid worth €28 million for the 22-year-old in order to beat the likes of Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Barcelona to the signature of the talented winger.
The Italian international has this season made a string of impressive displays for Viola and has already attracted interest from European top clubs.
Plenty of interest for the Fiorentina ace has seen numerous club dispatching scouts to watch Bernandeschi in action against Tottenham on Thursday in the return leg of the UEFA Europa League.
Currently representing Italy’s Under 21 side, Federico Bernandeschi has so far scored five goals for Viola and is widely tipped to make Italy’s Euro 2016 squad, which would come as a deserved reward for his fantastic performances.
Bernandeschi has made the total of 35 appearances for Fiorentina in all competitions, adding seven goals to his name.
