Manchester United have been linked with a move for Newcastle United striker Ayoze Perez, according to the Telegraph.
The former Spain U21 international, who moved to England in the summer of 2014, has also attracted interest from North London duo Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
In total, he has made fifty-one appearances for Newcastle in all competitions, scoring ten goals while he netted seventeen in fifty-one for previous club Tenerife.
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is keen to increase his attacking options when the transfer window reopens in January, and has assigned scouts to watch Perez on a number of occasions.
Newcastle paid just £1.7m to secure Perez’s services last summer, and they are sure to receive a massive return on their investment if they decide to sell.
Steve McClaren’s side lifted themselves out of the relegation zone with victory against Bournemouth at the weekend and they can now be backed at 2/5 to stay up.
