Manchester United are keen on signing Kalvin Phillips from Premier League rivals Leeds United in the summer transfer window, according to The Manchester Evening News. The report has claimed that Manchester United want to sign a defensive midfielder at the end of the season and are working on securing the services of Phillips.
Phillips has been superb for Leeds over the years and has established himself as an important player for the West Yorkshire club. The 26-year-old England international has had injury problems this season, and has made 12 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League so far this season, providing one assist in the process.
Manchester United are seventh in the Premier League table at the moment with 51 points from 30 matches. Meanwhile, Leeds currently find themselves 16th in the standings with 30 points from 31 games.
