Manchester United keeping tabs on Rasmus Elm

Sir Alex Ferguson are readying a big money move for AZ Alkmaar midfielder Rasmus Elm, according to Daily Mail.

The Scottish manager failed to sign a replacement for Paul Scholes in the summer, option to put his trust in Anderson and Tom Cleverley instead.

However, with both players missing the big part of the season through injury, the Scot may be forced to bring a new midfielder in January.

According to Daily Mail, Ferguson is planning a bid for AZ Alkmaar midfielder Rasmus Elm, who has been in scintillating form this season.

The Swedish international scored 8 and made another 5 goals in 14 league games this season, helping his side climb to Eredivisie summit.

Elm is considered a key member of the side at AFAS Stadion, but it is believed the club from Alkmaar would not be able to resist a big money offer.
