Manchester United are considering a move for Southampton full-back Ryan Bertrand, according to the Metro.
Manchester City were linked with the England international last summer but have since turned their attention elsewhere, though a number of outfits remain interested.
Everton, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur all have their hats in the ring though the Red Devils are keen to win the race to secure his services as they look to strengthen ahead of next season.
Bertrand moved to St Mary’s Stadium in the summer of 2014 and has since racked up one hundred and forty appearances in all competitions, scoring six goals.
The twenty-eight year old has played in all but three of the Saints’ league games so far this season though has been unable to as yet steer them away from trouble with the side sitting in eighteenth place, three points from safety with six matches left to play.
