Manchester United lead chase for Danny Ings

The Daily Mail has suggested that Manchester United are in pole position to sign Burnley striker Danny Ings.

The highly rated forward will be out of contract at the end of the season and he has made it clear he wants to leave the Clarets in favour of a big club move.

And even if Liverpool had emerged as the early favourites for his signature, the latest reports are suggesting that Manchester United are trying to hijack their bid for the 23 year old attacker.

With both Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao expected to leave in the summer, the Red Devils are in desperate need of attacking reinforcements, with Ings clearly the first name on their hit-list.

The talented footballer scored 20 goals in 40 Championship appearances last term to help Burnley secure promotion to the Premier League before proving his worth with 9 strikes in 29 top flight outings.
