Manchester United linked with Lukaku move

The Mirror understands that Manchester United are eyeing a move for Everton striker Romelu Lukaku.

The Belgium international, who only moved to Goodison Park on a permanent basis last summer, has averaged fourteen Premier League goals over the past three seasons across spells with both the Toffees and West Bromwich Albion and has made no secret of his desire to play in the Champions League.

The 22 year old originally moved to England in 2011 when Chelsea paid Anderlecht over £10m to secure his services, but he only racked up fifteen appearances in all competitions for the Blues.

Should he complete the switch to Old Trafford, he would link up with international teammate Marouane Fellaini, who left Everton on the same day that Lukaku arrived.

Having secured a fourth place finish in Louis van Gaal’s first season in charge, United begin the 2015/16 campaign at home to Tottenham Hotspur, and can be backed at 4/6 for the win.
