Manchester United are interested in signing Chris Rigg from Sunderland in the January transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that the Black Cats do not want to sell Rigg in the middle of the season, and that the Championship club will want between £20-25 million for him.
Rigg has been on the books of Sunderland since 2022 and has established himself as one of the better players in the team. The 17-year-old midfielder has made 19 starts and one substitute appearance in the Championship for the Black Cats so far this season. He has scored three goals and given one assist in those games.
United, who are keen on Evan Ferguson, are 13th in the Premier League table at the moment with 19 points from 15 matches. The Red Devils are aiming to finish in the top four. Meanwhile, Sunderland currently find themselves third in the Championship table with 40 points from 21 games, five points behind leaders Sheffield United and two points behind second-placed Leeds United.
