Manchester United are still interested in signing Adrien Rabiot this summer, according to TalkSport. The 28-year-old midfielder is now very close to becoming a free agent, with his contract at Juventus expiring this week, and the 20-time English champions have long been monitoring his situation with a view of a potential swoop for his services.
United still haven’t given up on signing Mason Mount, but they are prepared to consider alternative targets as their negotiations with Chelsea keep hitting dead ends. Those alternatives, apart from Rabiot, apparently include Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo, who is also a target for Chelsea.
Rabiot joined Juventus from Paris Saint-Germain in 2019, also as a free agent. Since then, he’s gone on to make a total of 177 appearances in all competitions for the Bianconeri, scoring 17 goals and contributing 12 assists. He helped the Serie A giants win the 2019/20 Scudetto, along with the Italian Cup and the Italian Super Cup the following season.
