Premier League giants Manchester United are keeping close tabs on Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho, according to Record.
The Red Devils are closely monitoring the footballer’s performances with a view of luring him to Old Trafford in the near future.
And Record has learned that Manchester United scouts were present at the Saturday’s clash between Pacos Ferreira and Sporting Lisbon.
William Carvalho has enjoyed a meteoric rise over the last year or so, having been in stunning form ever since he returned from a loan spell at Cercle Brugge.
The 22-year-old went on to start 54 league matches, scoring 5 goals in the process and developing into a key member of the squad at Estadio Jose Alvalade.
The youngster has also broken into the national team set-up, earning 12 caps and taking part at the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil, and everything suggests it won’t be long before he leaves Sporting for a top European club.
