According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Manchester United have offered Barcelona the opportunity to try and sign Diogo Dalot in a deal that is set to be worth around €17.4 million.
Nobody can deny United’s need for defensive reinforcements during the summer transfer window, but if this report is to be believed, then Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is more than willing to ship out some of his younger stars in the name of bringing in some more experience.
Right now Dalot isn’t said to be at the top of Barca’s priority list, with that role currently belonging to Juventus sensation Mattia De Sciglio. Still, there’s no guarantee of that trend lasting, and we all know that things can change pretty quickly within the top clubs – especially with the resumption of the UEFA Champions League being right around the corner.
Ole is a smart man, but he needs to think very carefully about the decisions he’s making.
