Manchester United offered a chance to sign Darijo Srna

Premier League giants Manchester United are considering a bid for Shakhtar Donetsk captain Darijo Srna, according to the Daily Mail.

The Red Devils are short of options on the right flank and with Rafael struggling through injury, they may decide to sign a new right-back in January.

Daily Mail has suggested that Manchester United have been offered Croatian defender Darijo Srna, who has so far resisted temptation to leave the Miners for a top European club.

The 32-year-old was the subject of interest from Chelsea and Bayern Munich in the past, but it appears he is finally ready to leave Ukraine.

Srna has been one of Shakhtar’s best players ever since he joined from Hajduk Split back in 2003, making 278 league appearances and scoring 28 goals.

The experienced defender has also impressed on international level, having bagged 21 goals in 120 Croatia caps since making his debut in 2002.
