Eric Bailly and Alex Telles are both set to return to Manchester United from their loans at Olympique Marseille and Sevilla, respectively, at the end of the season, but the 20-time English champions have no intention of keeping either of them in their ranks for 2023/24, and according to Fabrizio Romano, they’re open to offers for the services of the two defenders.
Both players have been deemed surplus to requirements from the start since Erik ten Hag took over as United boss, with Rafael Varane and Tyrell Malacia arriving last summer to cover the voids in the squad left by their departures, and with Varane expectedly establishing himself as an indispensable member of the back four and Malacia as a rather able backup option for Luke Shaw on the left flank, the situation for 29-year-old Bailly and 30-year-old Telles remains unchanged.
Bailly has made a total of 20 appearances in all competitions for Marseille, and Telles has so far played 32 times for Sevilla, including the second leg against United as the La Liga side saw off his parent club in the Europa League quarterfinals last month.
