Manchester United open to summer Eriksen sale

Keen to stay at Manchester United for the second half of the season, Christian Eriksen is believed to have rejected interest from Galatasaray in January, but his future with the 20-time English champions remains uncertain. According to TalkSport, United will be willing to consider offers for his services in the summer, with only 12 months remaining on his contract.

Come the end of the season, Eriksen will have turned 32, and new part-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is said to be keen on reducing the average age of the squad at the disposal of manager Erik ten Hag. It remains to be seen if Galatasaray’s interest is renewed in due time, or if there are other clubs willing to sign the experienced midfielder.

Following the cardiac arrest Eriksen suffered while representing Denmark at the last Euros edition, his contract with Inter Milan was terminated. Having recovered, he spent half a season with Brentford, before signing for United as a free agent in the summer of 2022.
