Manchester United want to sign Ruben Neves from Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers in the January transfer window, according to The Sun. It has been reported by the British tabloid that United are determined to bring the 24-year-old Portugal international midfielder to Old Trafford this month.
The agent of Neves, Jorge Mendes, has been in touch with United over a potential move for the midfielder since the summer of 2021. The Red Devils could make a bid of £35 million for Neves, but Premier League rivals Wolves are looking for more than £40 million to sell the 24-year-old this month.
Neves has made 16 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for Wolves so far this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process. The Wolves no. 8 made 31 starts and five substitute appearances in the league last season, scoring five goals and providing one assist in the process.
