Manchester United are planning to make a move for Real Madrid central defender Raphael Varane, according to El Mundo. It has been reported that the Premier League giants are considering a bid of €50 million for the France international.
Varane is out of contract at Madrid at the end of next season. The 28-year-old is reportedly looking for a new challenge, and money is not the main issue. Zinedine Zidane has left Madrid as the head coach, and centre-back Sergio Ramos has also departed.
The Frenchman has been on the books of Madrid since 2011 and has been a big player for the team over the years. Varane has won the La Liga title thrice, the Copa del Rey once, and the Champions League on four occasions with Los Blancos.
