Manchester United are on the verge of appointing Erik ten Hag as their new manager, according to multiple sources.
Meanwhile, The Telegraph report that the 20-time English champions have already made it clear that they’re ready to put ‘substantial funds available’ to the soon-to-be former Ajax boss for the upcoming summer transfer window. They’re also planning to raise some money through sales, with around a dozen players potentially leaving Old Trafford in the near future.
Apparently, United remain keen on West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, even though Hammers boss David Moyes recently said the England international would not be available for anything less than £150 million. Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane is also said to be on the list, after his proposed move to Manchester City last summer collapsed. Spurs reportedly rejected a bid worth over £100m from the Premier League champions.
Now, however, Kane has two years remaining on his deal and it remains to be seen if a deal is now possible.
