Manchester United pursue Upamecano

According to a recent report from Sunday Mirror, Manchester United are set to battle it out with Liverpool over the signing of Dayot Upamecano.

The RB Leipzig defender has been heavily linked with a move away from the club for quite some time now, but his final destination has been something of an unknown factor up to this point. Now, it appears as if United are set to do battle with their oldest rivals with Upamecano being left with some pretty substantial decisions that he needs to make.

The two old foes are going to do battle later on today in the FA Cup but beyond that, there’s a whole lot to be said about the direction that the clubs are both heading in. From competing in the cup to fighting over league titles, they could also be transfer rivals in a number of different ways in the next few years.
