Manchester United have re-signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic on a one-year deal, according to Sky Sports.
The Sweden international originally moved to Old Trafford last summer penning a contract for the 2016/17 campaign with the option of another year.
Injury ensured a premature end to that season and also appeared to end his time with the club though after making real progress in his rehabilitation the Red Devils have decided to retain his services.
The thirty-five year old is ahead of schedule in his road to recovery and could prove to be vital as United look to win the Premier League title for the first time in five years.
Ibrahimovic has so far scored twenty-eight goals in forty-six appearances in all competitions for Jose Mourinho’s side, helping them to success in both the EFL Cup and the Europa League.
Manchester Unitedd have won their opening two league games this season by four goals to nil and can currently be backed at 11/5 to win the title.
