French media outlet L’Equipe has suggested that Manchester United are hot on the trail of Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
The Red Devils are expected to stay without David De Gea this summer, with the Spaniard almost certain to join Real Madrid.
As a result, Manchester United aim to lure Hugo Lloris to Old Trafford, but they are unlikely to make a concrete move before agreeing a transfer fee for De Gea.
Nevertheless, with the French goalkeeper desperate to leave Spurs in search of Champions League football, persuading him to join should not be such a difficult task.
Hugo Lloris, 28, developed into one of leading Premier League shot-stoppers shortly after arriving from Lyon, and he is also the number one keeper for France.
The highly rated goalkeeper is now determined to join a top European club that will fight for major honours in the coming years and Manchester United seems like a good choice.
