Manchester United have recalled striker Will Keane from Preston North End, according to Sky Sports.
The twenty-two-year-old moved to Deepdale on a season-long loan in the summer, and racked up twenty-two appearances for Simon Grayson’s side scoring twice – once in the league and once in the League Cup.
However, the goal-shy Red Devils have brought him back into the fold as they look to arrest a poor run of form which currently stands at eight games without a win.
He has made just one senior appearance for his parent club, coming on as a late substitute in a 3-2 Premier League defeat to Blackburn Rovers at Old Trafford on New Year’s Eve 2011.
Aside from his recent stint at Preston, Keane has also had loan spells with Queens Park Rangers, Sheffield Wednesday and Wigan Athletic while internationally he has been capped by England at every level from U16s to U21s.
