Premier League giants Manchester United are ready to return for PSV Eindhoven winger Zakaria Bakkali, the Daily Mail has learned.
The Red Devils have been keeping close tabs on the 18-year-old for a while now, and they have been encouraged by the latest developments.
Bakkali was dropped from the senior squad after refusing to sign a contract extension at Philips Stadium, with his current deal due to expire at the end of the season.
This means that Manchester United will soon be able to negotiate a Bosman deal with the youngster’s representatives, although it is important to note that Liverpool and Atletico Madrid are keen as well.
Bakkali showed a great deal of promise last season, scoring 3 goals in 16 Eredivisie outings and he was even handed his Belgium debut.
Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven lead the chase in the Eredivisie and they can be backed at 4/5 to end Ajax’s domestic domination.
