Manchester United rue missed Keane chance

The Mirror understands that Manchester United are regretting not adding a sell on clause in the deal that saw Micheal Keane join Burnley.

The twenty-three year old began his career at Old Trafford but made just a handful of appearances before moving, initially on loan to the Clarets in the summer of 2014.

His performances for Sean Dyche’s side have alerted the attention of Chelsea manager Antonio Conte, who is on the lookout for a long-term replacement for captain John Terry and the Blues could be set to make a £25m move in January.

Since arriving at Turf Moor, Keane has racked up seventy-six appearances in all competitions scoring six goals while internationally he has won sixteen caps for England’s U21 and could make his senior debut as the Three Lions take on Malta at Wembley in a World Cup qualifying match on Saturday evening.
