Manchester United are interested in signing Illan Meslier from Leeds United, according to The Daily Mail. It has been reported that United sent scouts to watch Meslier in action for Leeds against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium this week. Marcelo Bielsa’s side lost the Premier League game 7-0.
Meslier is one of the best young goalkeepers in the Premier League and has been the first-choice for Leeds for a while now. The 21-year-old is a very good shot-stopper, makes good saves and claims crosses with confidence.
David de Gea is the first-choice goalkeeper at Manchester United and is going strong as ever. Meslier is only 21, and he is clearly one for the future for the Red Devils.
