Manchester United still want Rakitic

According to a recent report from Calciomercato, Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic is going to be a wanted man during the January transfer window. The 31 year old has been linked with a transfer away from the Nou Camp for well over a year, but could never quite come to terms with any of the interested clubs that wanted to sign him. Despite being in his thirties now a move for him would still demand a fee of around £50 million, showcasing what kind of a talent he really is.

The teams that are currently said to be invested in the idea of signing Rakitic include Manchester United, Inter Milan and Juventus, all of whom have previously made it known that they’ve been interested in signing the veteran.

While it makes sense for Rakitic to test the waters with something new, Barca may think twice about this if they continue to stumble between now and the winter window.
