Manchester United have taken first steps in their attempt to beat competition to the signing of Ajax midfielder Riechedly Bazoer, Le 10 Sport has revealed.
Highly talented Dutch footballer has been on the radar of several Europe’s top clubs and the likes of Barcelona, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal have all been watching the 19-year-old in recent months.
However, Manchester United are believed to have submitted a lucrative offer for Bazoer as they get ready for a fresh overhaul during summer transfer window.
Despite investing a great deal of money into new signings last season, Red Devils have had a disappointing campaign and are keen to bring in a fresh batch of talented footballers in order to boost their chances of challenging for trophies next year.
Riechedly Bazoer has been in superb form for Ajax this season and the 19-year-old midfielder has earned a call-up for the Netherlands last month as a reward for his inspiring displays. He took part in his side’s 2-1 win over England at Wembley which was just another opportunity for the lad to present his qualities to the English public.
Bazoer has scored five goals for Ajax this season and his contract with the Eredivisie powerhouse runs until 2020.
