Could former Manchester City striker head to Old Trafford and join Manchester United? According to ESPN, the Red Devils are eyeing a January move for AS Roma striker Edin Dzeko, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer realizes that his squad will need another goalscorer if they are to reach their goals this season.
After the departure of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez last summer to Inter Milan, now Man United could be also looking to Italy in order to find a replacement. That replacement may well be the Bosnia and Herzegovina international who used to play for United’s city rivals.
It was first reported that Solskjaer decided not to go after Juventus’ Mario Mandzukic, which transfer fell through late into the summer window and now another experienced forward from the former Yugoslav region might the target. Dzeko has had some great time at Roma in recent seasons but, at 32, he is not getting any younger.
