Manchester United target in talks with Spartak

Standard Liege midfielder Steven Defour is pondering an offer from Spartak Moscow, according to his agent.

The 23-year-old midfielder has repeatedly been linked with Manchester United and Tottenham, but his agent has now revealed that his client is in negotiations with Spartak Moscow.

“The negotiations are being conducted with one of Spartak’s top managers whose name is Dmitry,” agent Paul Stefani told Sovetsky Sports.

“I believe, the deal may be completed successfully, because my client is ready to move to Spartak.”

“What if it falls through? Then we will consider alternative options – from Spain and Germany.”
