Manchester United are keeping close tabs on Atletico Madrid star Miranda as they search for defensive reinforcements, according to AS.
The Red Devils are desperately short of quality at the back and are widely tipped to sign one or two high-quality centre-backs in the winter.
Manchester United were recently linked with a move for former player Gerard Pique, while Atletico Madrid’s Miranda appears to be their latest target.
The Brazilian has established himself as one of world’s top central defenders and seeing as how his contract is due to expire in June 2016, the Premier League giants believe he should be available at a reasonable price in January.
Miranda, 30, joined Atletico Madrid from San Paulo three years ago and has made a total of 99 La Liga appearances, scoring 8 goals.
After enjoying a hard-fought victory over Almeria, los Colchoneros are available at 4/6 to defeat Sevilla at the weekend.
