Manchester United to miss out on Inter midfield maestro

Manchester United look set to miss out on Wesley Sneijder as the Inter midfielder is expected to renew his contract with the Neroazzurri.

Sir Alex Ferguson was hoping his new transfer kitty will help him finally bring a true playmaker to Old Trafford, especially after the Dutchman appeared to have had second thoughts about signing a new deal at Inter.

Nonetheless, Inter patron Massimo Moratti is adamant Sneijder will sign a new deal by the end of the week.

“I think this week he will sign a new contract.”

The player has more than two years left on his current contract, but Inter chiefs are aware that a new deal is the only way to keep hold of their star player.
