Manchester United to scout Moussa Dembele

Manchester United are interested in signing Moussa Dembele from Lyon in the summer transfer window, according to Foot Mercato. The report in the French news outlet has claimed that United will send a scout to watch Dembele in action for Lyon against FC Porto in the Europa League on Thursday evening.

Dembele has been on the books of Lyon since 2018 when he joined from Scottish Premiership giants Celtic. The French striker spent the second half of last season on loan at Atletico Madrid. The 25-year-old has made 15 starts and five substitute appearances in Ligue 1 so far this season, scoring 10 goals and providing two assists in the process. Dembele has given one assist in three Europa League matches so far this campaign.

United are fifth in the Premier League table at the moment with 50 points from 29 matches, a point behind fourth-placed Arsenal, who ave played 26 games. Meanwhile, Lyon currently find themselves 10th in the Ligue 1 table with 41 points from 28 matches.
