Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong is set to join Manchester United in the summer transfer window, according to Gerard Romero. The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that De Jong will make the switch to Old Trafford in the coming weeks.
De Jong has been on the books of Barcelona since the summer of 2019 when he moved from Dutch giants Ajax. The 25-year-old Netherlands international midfielder has made 29 starts and two substitute appearances in La La Liga fo Barca this season, scoring three goals and providing three assists in the process.
Manchester United are sixth in the Premier League table at the moment with 58 points from 37 matches, while Barcelona are currently second in the La Liga standings with 72 points from 36 games.
