Manchester United tracking Celtic defender
Manchester United is keeping tabs on Celtic defender Emilio Izaguirre, according to The Mirror.
Sir Alex Ferguson watched the Honduran defender in action against Rangers yesterday after receiving impressive reports from Manchester United scouts.
Ferguson is short on cover at left-back and he could make a move for the 24-year-old in the summer.
Since Patrice Evra is likely to leave the club unless he signs a new deal before the summer, Ferguson doesn’t want to leave anything to chance and he is looking to bring another full-back to Old Trafford.
Even though Izaguirre has only joined Celtic last summer, it is highly unlikely they would be able to resist a big money offer from Manchester United.
Napoli won’t budge on Quagliarella
Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis says he doesn’t plan to give Juventus a discount on Fabio Quagliarella.
Juventus are eager to buy out the player’s contract before his loan deal expires in June, but the Bianconerri are hoping to get some discount on the agreed price.
However, Napoli patron Aurelio De Laurentiis is adamant that Juve will not get the forward at a cut-back price.
“I won’t gift Quagliarella to Juve,” De Laurentiis said.
“Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta signed a contract. The option price is already fixed and it will remain that way.
“I am not stupid. I wouldn’t make a gift of Quagliarella.”
Napoli president is definitely a man who stands by his words and it is more than clear that Juventus will have to pay the agreed price if they want to keep Quagliarella at Olimpico.

Carragher backs Dalglish for permament job
Jamie Carragher reveals the players would love to see Kenny Dalglish given the job on permanent basis after the King Kenny masterminded an impressive victory over Chelsea.
Liverpool climbed to sixth after beating Chelsea and Jamie Carragher says Kenny Dalglish has the full backing of the players.
“Things have improved now ad Kenny coming has got everyone onside,” Carragher said.
“That’s not our decision. That’s up to the club owners. For everyone, especially me and Stevie, he’s a hero to us.
“The results are obviously going very well. If you’re asking me, obviously I’d love him to be the manager.”
Following a difficult start to his career at Anfield, Kenny Dalglish led the Reds to four straight victories in the Premiership and if Liverpool continue in the same manner, nobody will be surprised to see Dalglish become a permanent manager at Anflield.
