After a fruitless, long and painful campaign to sign Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov, Manchester United have turned their attentions to Dutch goal machine, Klass-Jan Huntelaar, according to The Independent.
Tottenham have refused to budge in their £30 million evaluation of Bebrbatov and Manchester United are unwilling to pay that much for a 27 year old striker. Instead they believe that they could get Huntelaar for less, according to the aforementioned report.
The Dutch striker has already expressed his interest in playing for a Manchester United earlier this summer claiming that: “It’s a club that makes me dream, especially as Ruud van Nistelrooy played there and did great things with them.”
