Manchester United unlikely to add new players in January

The Daily Mail has learned that Manchester United do not plan to reinforce the playing squad in the January transfer window.

The Red Devils enjoyed a bright start to the new campaign under Jose Mourinho, winning first four fixtures, but then went to lose three straight games in all competitions.

Man Utd especially experienced problems in the middle of the park and while they were tipped to reinforce their midfield department in January, that looks unlikely to happen.

Namely, the Red Devils do not have a lot of money to spend after splashing out on the likes of Pogba, Ibrahimovic, Mkhitaryan and Bailly, while manager Jose Mourinho is believed to be happy with his current options.

Following the 3-1 loss to Watford at Vicarage Road, Manchester United will be desperate to return to winning ways against Northampton in the English Football League Cup third round, and they can be backed at 3/10 to emerge victorious.
