According to a recent report from Calciomercato, Manchester United are continually being linked with a possible January move for Emre Can. The former Liverpool star has been unable to lock down a consistent place in Juventus’ first team as of late, which has led to him looking around for another potential move. United have been admiring Can from afar for quite some time now, and at one point, it seemed as if he could be used as some kind of makeweight in a deal involving Paul Pogba and maybe even Mario Mandzukic.
Can’s connection to Anfield would obviously cause quite a few problems for the Reds’ faithful, but it doesn’t appear as if Manchester United themselves are all too concerned about his past.
They’re instead choosing to focus on the future, and when you consider the stakes involved, that doesn’t seem like the worst idea. After all, United need all the help they can get.
