According to a recent report from Voetbal International, Manchester United want to make a move to sign PSV star Cody Gakpo.
In the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United are in need of another forward. If they’re able to bring in a consistent goalscorer to run alongside the likes of Rashford and company, there’s a real chance they could make a push for both the top four and perhaps even a domestic trophy.
Gakpo has been busy in the recent weeks as part of Netherlands’ World Cup push. While they were unable to get past eventual world champions Argentina, Gakpo was a force of nature in front of goal – and that was especially true during the group stage.
If United do pursue his services, the expectation is that they will do so in the January transfer window. Alas, with such little time to go before the window arrives, you have to wonder how much preparation has actually been put in place.
