According to a recent report from London Evening Standard, Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz is now open to the possibility of leaving Germany as speculation mounts regarding a potential offer from Manchester United. The belief is that Havertz is going to be one of the primary targets that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer goes after during the summer transfer window – if the window actually takes place, that is.
Jack Grealish and James Maddison are also featured members of their wish list, but right now, Havertz is at the top of the pile.
While United had been making significant progress prior to the Premier League being suspended, they’ve still got a long way to go before they can be viewed as legitimate, consistent top four contenders. If they were able to add someone like Havertz to their squad, there’s a good chance they’d start to be looked at in a very different light.
