Manchester United want Kroos

According to AS, Premier League giants Manchester United are interested in signing Toni Kroos. The German sensation is on his way home from the 2018 FIFA World Cup after his country failed to live up to expectations in the group stages, although Kroos himself gave a good account of himself – with the main highlight being his stunning winner against Sweden in the final minute of the game.

The 28-year-old has been at the Bernabeu since 2014 when he made a multi-million move from Bayern Munich. Kroos has also made more than 80 appearances for the German national team, establishing himself as one of the country’s finest midfielders in years.

The report suggests that United boss Jose Mourinho views Kroos as an essential target, as he’d be able to compliment Paul Pogba nicely in the middle of the park. Apparently, Real Madrid views Toni in the same manner, although United are willing to make a big offer in order to get the deal done.
