According to a recent report from Bild, Manchester United are still interested in making a push to sign Robert Lewandowski during the summer transfer window.
The Polish forward’s agent continues to put pressure on Bayern Munich to lock Lewandowski down to a lucrative new deal, and if they’re unable to do so, they will begin to look elsewhere for a new club.
At this moment in time it’s safe to suggest that Lewandowski is one of the best strikers in world football. Alas, even with that being the case, Bayern are hesitant to offer a new deal to him based on how much longer he has left at the elite level.
He’s only 32 years of age and seems to be built as a player who can continue to cause damage across Europe for many years to come, but Bayern may instead choose to invest their money in their youth in these increasingly uncertain times.
