Manchester United are interested in signing Fabian Ruiz from Napoli in the summer of 2022, according to La Repubblica, as relayed by Sport Witness. It has been reported by the Italian publication that United are in pole position to sign the 25-year-old Spain international midfielder.
Napoli are open to selling Ruiz at the end of the season when he will have just one more year left on his current contract. As things stand, Premier League and European giants United are leading the race for the former Real Betis player.
Ruiz has been on the books of Napoli since 2018 when he joined from Betis. The midfielder has made 15 starts and one substitute appearance in Serie A so far this season, scoring five goals and providing two assists in the process. Ruiz has also provided one assist in three Europa League appearances for Napoli so far this campaign.
