According to a recent report from AS, Premier League side Manchester United could try and sign Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak – if their number one David De Gea does not decide to renew his current contract with the Red Devils.
The general belief is that De Gea will wind up staying on as United’s main man in goal, but it’s safe to say that the last year or so of his career hasn’t quite been as successful as the rest of his tenure at Old Trafford.
Going after Oblak could be nothing more than a rumour, but as time goes on, there could be more substance to it than a lot of fans will allow themselves to believe.
Atletico have been pretty firm in the way that they have rejected different bids from clubs for Oblak in the past, but who knows what kind of figures United could come in with if De Gea decides to leave.
